Water levels are down to normal.
The 240.000 people who were evacuated from the low-lands
have long returned home.
Luckily non off the major dikes burst causing serious floods.

The national government is now in charge of the evacuation.
Roads are closed and the army is checking homes for people who stayed
behind, they are also guarding the affected areas to prevent looting.
So far three people have died.
The public is being informed by the media and public and local
authorities. Special telephone numbers are available for every region.

The national telecommunications company: PTT-Telecom has advised not to
make telephone calls to the endangered area's, unless absolutely
necessary, in order to prevent overloadeded telephone networks. An extra
communications network between the crisis centers has been set up.
