Experiencing ... The Mega Music Dance Experience Interactive

Two guys, Danny Engelman and Koos van den Hout , decided to experience the Mega Music Dance Experience Interactive together using the network of the Hogeschool van Utrecht.

This idea came up on Friday December 9th 1994. We had dinner together at a bar, and spoke about how to arrange things. Set up a room, put a Mac and a PC there, and a couple of chairs, ask some other people if they where interested in joining us, and make WWW pages of our own to comment on things.

Saturday evening we will watch the Mega Music Dance Experience Interactive and put feedback on this WWW server. So check out this page as often as you can.

We are located here (GIF 148K), which is really close to the Jaarbeurs. We found out the Internet link is via the same providor as we have... so we're close to the feed.. Still a lot of packet loss in the Cu-SeeMe feed.

Oh by the way... the MMDEI WWW-server is at http://192.87.6.2 and the Cu-SeeMe reflector is at 193.67.112.18. Just in case...

Allright, it's past midnight now... they promised us 10 Cu-SeeMe setups, interactive control of the cameras, interesting WWW-pages, being able to give feedback other then IRC, after six hours we've had enough. We're going home. Tomorrow is another day.
These pages will stay here though, as a document of what can be done with interactive publishing.
Adam, thanks for creating this event. You show the future in what's possible with computer networks. Oh by the way, Merry Christmas everybody !
